Property taxes are due by 4:30 p.m. July 2, 1998. All property owners are responsible for payment of property taxes and applicable penalties. If you are a property owner and have not received your property tax notice, call the District of Hope during regular office hours.

You can now pay your taxes and utilities through Electronic Bill Payment services at several financial institutions. Please check at your bank or cerdit union for this convenient way to make your payments.

If you are eligible to claim the Home Owner Grant, please complete the application and submit it to the District of Hope Municipal Office by 4:30 p.m. on July 2, 1998. If your bank or mortgage company pays your taxes, or if you pay your taxes through electronic bill payment at a financial institution, it is still your responsibility to apply for the Home Owner Grant and submit it before the deadline of July 2, 1998.

A 5% penalty will be added if full payment and application for the Provincial Home Owner Grant has not been received by the close of business on the tax due date of July 2, 1998. An additional 5% penalty will be added on the first business day in August on any outstanding balances (including the Provincial Home Owner Grant portion) if the application for the grant has not been received by this date.
