Information
For information on all all aspects of web design, I strongly suggest that
you become a member of the HTML Writer's
Guild. Their website offers the most comprehensive collection
of information out there, and services for members include mailing lists
and chat channels. No web site developer should live without this group.
Basic membership is free, so there is no reason not to check it out.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is the group who defines HTML. Their
website, www.w3.org, contains
technical information on all aspects of the web, and discussion about it's
future.
Jalfrezi is the best
general web page authoring reference site I have ever come accross.
A lot of information on technology in BC is available through the
Information, Science and Technology Agency
of the provincial government. The
Electronic Highway Accord
is their plan for the internet in BC. They did a survey in February 1998 called
British Columbians and the Internet which says that 54% of British Columbians
have accessed the internet on their own. If you want to know who is looking at your
website, these statistics tell it all.
StatMarket offers information on all aspects
of web surfers, from browser and operating system used to how many people will come back
to your site after their first visit. Their slogan is 'Global Internet Market Data At Your
Fingertips.'
