Amateurs in Hope have access to a repeater atop Thacker Mountain. The frequency is 147.080 Mhz, +.600 with CTCSS tone 110.9 hz. Check-in at 19:00 each Tuesday to catch the S.A.R.N. Net.
The repeater is owned by Sumas Amateur Radio Network. The callsign is
VE7RVB. S.A.R.N. also maintains VE7RVA, a repeater atop Sumas Mountain
with multiple links, including : VE7RVB in Hope can be linked to VE7RVA in Abbotsford. Hope packet radio operators utilize the TPARC repeater on Dog Mt at 144.450Mhz. TPARC utilizes ROSE network switching protocols. To access a Hope station the network address would be 604869. VE7IPV maintains a packet station with PMS that monitors 144.450Mhz 24 hr/day. |
